Helima Croft, PhD, Managing Director, Global Head of Commodity Strategy Global Research, RBC Capital Markets

Helima is a Managing Director and the Global Head of Commodity Strategy at RBC Capital Markets. She specializes in geopolitics and energy, leading a team of commodity strategists that cover energy, metals and cross-commodity investor activity. Helima is a member of the National Petroleum Council, a select group of individuals who advise, inform and make recommendations to the Secretary of Energy with respect to any matter relating to oil and natural gas. She also is a CNBC contributor, a member of the channel’s exclusive family of experts, is on the Board of Directors for the Atlantic Council, a Life Member of the Council on Foreign Relations, and is a member of the Oxford Energy Policy Club. Helima joined RBC Capital Markets from Barclays, where she was a Managing Director and Head of North American Commodities Research. Prior to that, she worked in Lehman’s Business Intelligence group, the Council on Foreign Relations and the Central Intelligence Agency, where she focused on geopolitics and commodities. Helima has received many industry accolades throughout her career and received her PhD in economic history from Princeton in 2001.


Guest Speaker

Jon Culshaw, Legendary Impressionist

Warmly regarded by many as Britain’s best impressionist, Jon Culshaw has a catalogue of over 350 voices from Donald Trump to Professor Brian Cox. Jon famously made headlines in 1998 when he was put directly through to Prime Minister Tony Blair after fooling the switchboard operators of No. 10 Downing Street with his impression of William Hague. Jon’s many TV appearances include Spitting ImageThe Impressionable Jon Culshaw, ITV2’s animated topical sketch show Newzoids, and recent ITV panel show The Imitation Game. On radio, Jon is one of the leading cast members in long-running BBC Radio 4 comedy Dead Ringers. He has recently been touring the nation with Dead Ringers producer Bill Dare in The Great British Take Off – a night of unscripted, spontaneous comedy in which celebrities old and new are all up for a roasting!

All tables seat 10 people.

Corporate Members who are sponsors are entitled to book up to three full tables of 10 seats.

We hold a few tables for individual bookings. Individual members can book up to 4 individual seats at the individual tables. Individual members are not eligible to book full tables.

The cost of a corporate table of 10 seats is £1500.00. The cost of an individual seat is £125.00 (maximum of 4 seats). Corporate Sponsorship is £1500.00. VAT will be added to these costs on the invoice.

Bookings are non-refundable after Monday 28 October 2019.

Membership renewal for the 2019-2020 season will be billed on the invoice.

The fee for Corporate Sponsorship, in addition to costs for the table, is £1500.00. VAT will be added to these costs on the invoice.

Invoicing and Payments

Subsequent to booking a table, you will be sent the invoice. If your company requires that your invoice include any special details, e.g. Purchase or Requisition number, please provide that information in your email booking request. Only you know your own company’s invoice-paying requirements.

We will return an Adobe PDF electronic version of the invoice to the person who made the booking for them to forward on their internal processing and payment. We prefer payments by bank transfer or cheque.

As the event is in the next season of the Scottish Energy Forum, we will also invoice for membership renewal for the new season at the time of booking.

Finding Your Seat at the Dinner

If you are a Table Host or guest, you will hear of your table number from your Table Coordinator. People with individual bookings will hear from the Scottish Energy Forum prior to the event.

We also will have a poster with all names in alphabetic order and table numbers on display near the entrance to the Edinburgh International Conference Centre (EICC). We will indicate if the table is “stage left” or “stage right” (relative to the outward-looking speaker on the stage). You will be able to find your name in the event programme for your table assignment. Below is the current table plan showing available tables.
