About Centipod

Centipod Ltd is a Wave Energy Conversion (WEC) technology developer with operations in the UK and US. Centipod is led by a Dehlsen Associates, LLC management team, which previously established wind energy companies Zond Systems and Clipper Windpower, whose technology, products and manufacturing led to the commercial success of four generations of wind turbines starting in the 1980’s giving the team insight from first-hand knowledge and experience navigating through new renewable energy technology commercialization.

Centipod has designed and built a high-performance generator for ocean wave energy conversion, enabling high-efficiency, controllable linear direct-drive power conversion at high forces and low velocities. This technology, packaged together as a linear, universal modular absorber (Luma), expands the horizons of performance and reliability for the next generation of wave energy converters.
