An industry in action: the UK offshore oil and gas sector blueprint for net zero
with Deirdre Michie, CEO Oil & Gas UK

The UK oil and gas industry is changing. With global demand for energy increasing alongside growing calls to reduce carbon emissions, OGUK Chief Executive Deirdre Michie will set out how the industry is working to find solutions to one of the biggest challenges of our times.

Through Roadmap 2035: a blueprint for net zero, industry, governments and regulators are working together to realise a safe and competitive sector which realises its full potential in the energy transition. Key to a diverse energy mix, supporting hundreds of thousands of jobs, contributing billions to public services and with a plan to support emissions reduction, it remains a vital industry for the UK and Scotland.

In a year where the eyes of the world will be on Scotland as host of COP 26, there is an exciting opportunity to showcase our transforming and world-leading sector.
